I had the opportunity this morning to observe Mrs. Klauzer and the High School Chorus in preparation for the Winter Concert. The music emanating from the Chorus Room was as beautiful and it was moving. If you are planning on joining us on December 8th for the HS/JH Winter Concert you are in for a real treat. Truly incredible talent from our music students!
Miss Doyle’s, Mrs. Privia’s, and Mrs. Roberts’s 4th grade RtI classes participated in the 2017 Holiday Card Drive for the Military. The Cards for Heroes program was sponsored by the United Service Organizations (USO) of Illinois, the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and the Illinois Executive Mansion Association. Students sent the cards to show their support for the service men and women who are currently deployed overseas.
A-C Central Middle and High School held its Veteran's Day Ceremony on Friday, November 10th. Our National Honor Society students helped park the cars of those attending the event. The FFA Chapter fed approximately 100 Veteran's and their families biscuits and gravy. The art students displayed patriotic projects that they had completed outside the cafeteria. After breakfast, a program was put on that lasted approximately 1 hour. The High School chorus and Middle School band both participated, and there were many readings done by both Middle and High School Students.
