8th Grade Volleyball: STATE BOUND!

On Monday, March 12, 2018 the A-C Central 8th Grade Volleyball Team played in the Sectional Championship at Greenfield.  The Lady Knights bested the Carrollton Lady Hawks in two sets to qualify for the IESA State Volleyball Tournament.  The Lady Knights will be in action on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 7:00 PM in Auburn, Illinois as they take on Kewanee Westfield in Round 1 of the 8th Grade State Volleyball Tournament.

SEVENTH GRADE VOLLEYBALL TEAM WINS 3rd PLACE at IESA STATE TOURNEY

The Seventh Grade Volleyball team took 3rd place at the IESA State Volleyball Tournament this past weekend.  On Friday night they defeated Findlay-Okaw Valley to earn their spot in the Final Four.  On Saturday, they fell to Mt. Pulaski, but then defeated the Gardner Tigers in the Consolation game to win 3rd place.  Congratulations Coach Privia and the Seventh Grade Team!  GO KNIGHTS!!!

Special Awards from IEPA Contest

Three sixth grade students at A-C Central Jr. High were selected to receive a special award from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s poster and poetry contest.This contest was held for all 5th and 6th graders across the state of Illinois. The students prepared for the contest in Dena Leinberger’s Science class. Connor DeFord and Landon Eilers were recognized in the top 50 for their Poetry/Prose. Landon Eilers and Jayce Privia were recognized in the top 50 for their posters. All will be honored at a reception Springfield Saturday, April 21st. Congratulations to all winners!
