A-C Central #262 Parents, Students, & Staff
It’s been an incredible two years with so many accomplishments by so many of the great people who work here! It’s been challenging—yet so rewarding. The Board of Education has been on a path of improvements in our facilities; we have beautiful new windows, doors, and air-conditioning. One of the best ways to improve academic achievement is to air-condition school buildings!
Also, technology and curriculum have been priorities. We have added a technology administrator and have 3 more labs than we did two years ago; not to mention we have updated programs and our technology curriculum so that our students will be adept in 21st century skills.
School Improvement team has been a compelling voice to observe what other schools are doing and what we are doing in the classroom. This team of teachers, administrators and board members have worked together ensure excellent academic curriculum for our students and to be sure that our curriculum is aligned with state standards. The addition of a Curriculum Director has assisted with the accomplishment of this goal. The (Response to Intervention) RTI initiative has enabled us to utilize data to individualize instruction for our students.
Our Five Year Strategic plan is posted on our website and in each building; and everyone is aware of where we are and what we need to do to maintain our goal in the pursuit of excellence.
Our parents, teachers, staff, and Board of Education are partners as we work together as a team to prepare our students to contribute their time, talent, and gifts for the well-being of themselves and for the good of all. As an educational community at A-C Central, we continue to be committed to inspiring dreams and shaping lives to give us hope for the future!
