Fourteen 7^th and 8^th graders from A-C Central Middle School attended a Mathematical Competency Challenge on Saturday, April 24^th in Payson, IL. The students competed in an individual competition and a team competition. Allyson finished in 5^th place for the 8^th grade individual competition. There were about 75 eighth graders and 80 seventh graders competing from ten schools. The students enjoyed live music, had lunch, received a t-shirt, and some even won door prizes. Math teacher Carrie Jo Donnan accompanied the students to the contest. The following students participated:

7^th graders: Emma, Kristi , Carrie, Robert, McKenzie, Becca, Chrystal, Hoab , and Jennifer.

8^th graders: Hannah, Allyson, Austin, Ty, and Parrish.
